Public Ferry Terminal in Gdynia started operating in June 2022. Since the beginning of its existence, terminal’s infrastructure is used by Stena Line, which operates between Gdynia and Karlskrona.

Two ferry operators were supposed to sail from the terminal in Gdynia. The second carrier was to be Polferries. The company won the action against other ferry operators. One of them was TT-Line, which currently operates from Świnoujście.

Ferry crossings from the new terminal were to take place from June 2022. The end of 2023 is approaching and Polferries still has not launched a ferry connection from Gdynia. Therefore, the management of the seaport in Gdynia finally decided to withdraw its decision to make the terminal available to the Polish Baltic Shipping company.

Polferries continues to offer ferry crossings between Gdańsk and Nynäshamn near Stockholm. There is information that TT-Line may still be interested in cooperation with the port of Gdynia.
