Unity Line receives prestigious Travelife Certificate

The distinction was presented during the ITB Berlin trade fair — the largest and one of the most important events in the global tourism industry.

The Travelife Partner certificate is an international standard of quality and sustainability in the tourism sector, granted to companies that voluntarily undertake responsible actions for the environment, employees, and local communities. The award confirms Unity Line’s long-term efforts in the field of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Achieving Travelife Partner status means meeting more than 100 detailed criteria covering areas such as tour operator office management, product development, cooperation with international partners, and communication with customers. The standard is aligned with the guidelines of the ISO 26000 standard on corporate social responsibility and includes issues related to environmental protection, biodiversity, human rights, and labor relations.

Travelife is a leading international sustainability certification system for the tourism industry, operating since 2007. It is not only a certificate but also a comprehensive training program and a set of tools supporting the management of sustainable travel. It includes specific environmental solutions such as effective environmental management, reducing CO₂emissions, rational use of energy and water, and responsible waste management.

The initiative has gained wide recognition on the international market and today extends far beyond Europe, becoming a global standard in the tourism sector. Companies holding the Travelife certificate are perceived as leaders in sustainable travel, which represents an important market distinction and a clear signal of genuine commitment to environmental protection, care for people, and the application of ethical business practices.

The ferry Jantar Unity, equipped with hybrid LNG propulsion and a battery system, significantly reduces exhaust emissions and meets the highest environmental standards of IMO Tier III. Another vessel, m/f Bursztyn, is already under construction at the Gdańsk shipyard and will further support our sustainable development strategy. We consistently invest in modern and environmentally friendly solutions, which is why obtaining the Travelife Partner certificate is particularly meaningful to us,” says Katarzyna Antoń, Head of Marketing at Unity Line.
