Cruises most often take place at night. Ferries leave the ports once or twice a day, but crossings do not occur every day.

Denmark - Norway ferry service on the route Hirtshals - Bergen is an "extension" of the Hirtshals - Stavanger connection. The ferry crossing is organized by Fjord Line. Departures from the ports are made with the same frequency as ferries on the Hirtshals - Stavanger route. After the trip from Hirtshals, the ferry makes a half-hour stop in the port of Stavanger before continuing along the west coast of Norway to the port of Bergen. The entire ferry trip from Hirtshals to Bergen takes 20 hours.
Please, note that route Hirtshals - Bergen is currently suspended. Fjord Line is planning to resume departures on this route in May 2023.
