The ferry to Denmark departs between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m. Ferries to Germany run roughly between 2 a.m. and 10 p.m. In total, 20 crossings are made on this route in one day. The distance between the ports of Rostock and Gedser is 52 km. The crossing takes approximately 2 hours.

Germany - Denmark Ferries: Puttgarden - Rodbyhavn
Ferries between Puttgarden in Germany and Rodbyhavn in Denmark operate non-stop 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Ferries depart with a frequency of 30 minutes. The distance between the two ports is approximately 20 km. The crossing takes 45 minutes. The high frequency and short crossing times mean that a total of 100 crossings are made daily between Puttgarden and Rodbyhavn.
