More frequent departures on Cherbourg – Rosslare route
Ferry operator Brittany Ferries and their partners in Rosslare and Cher ports informed that more departures can be expected between Ireland and France.
The new Brittany Ferries timetable is effective from Monday 4th November and is as follows.
Departures from Rosslare
- Monday 18:00
- Wednesday 20:00
- Friday 18:00
- Saturday 22:00
- Sunday 18:00
Departures from Cherbourg
- Monday 13:00
- Tuesday 20:30
- Thursday 19:00
- Piątek 21:45
- Saturday 19:00
For the first few weeks there will be four departures a week. Later the schedule will have five departures a week. The new departures’ goal is to make it easier to choose Birttany Ferries’ sailings on the route.
Glenn Carr, Director Commercial Business Units for Irish Rail – port authority for Rosslare Europort, said that the success of the port’s cooperation with Brittany Ferries goes from strength to strength with the ferry operator’s announcement. Director Carr also states that Brittany Ferries clients will benefit from new facilities in Rosslare Europort harbour.
Freight director in Brittany Ferries, Kristof Wuytack said that the ferry operator is delighted to confirm that the company will expand its direct connection between Ireland and mainland Europe. Director Wuytack reminds that multimodal transport is a key element in Brittany Ferries strategy and rising the amount of departures will only help the sector and will help to pave the way for future development.
Temporary route closure between Le Havre and Portsmouth
Due to technical problems of one of Brittany Ferries vessels, ferry connection between ports in Le Havre and Portsmouth is suspended from 4th to 17th of November 2024.
