The Epsilon ferry was charted by Irish Ferries on Dublin-Holyhead route. Before the takeover the ship passed dock inspection in the port of Belfast. Now Epsilon is in Poland waiting for its first sailing as Unity Line ferry. The ferry will operate on Świnoujście-Trelleborg route. Its first departure will take place on 15th of January 2024.
M/F Epsilon is a modern ro-pax vessel (it serves as passenger ship and ro-ro ship for cars), which was built in 2011 in Italian shipyard of Visentini. The ship can take up to 600 people, including 276 passengers with place assigned in cabin. Epsilon’s load line is 2860 meters, what makes it the biggest vessel on Świnoujście-Trelleborg route. It can take 130 trucks at a time. The capacity of the Epsilon ferry helps strengthen the position of the Unity as operator of ferry connections between Poland and Sweden.
With Epsilon’s start of service, the M/F Jan Śniadecki ferry, which sailed in the colors of Unity Line between Świnoujście and Ystad, will be decommissioned.
The entry into service of the new ferry is associated with a change in the departure timetable on Unity Line routes. From 15th January 2024, ferry departures from the ports of Świnoujście, Ystad and Trelleborg will take place at changed times. The updated schedule of ferry crossings with Unity Line can be found below and in the "Your cargo booking" search engine on the PROMY24.COM home page.
